Our History

Dave and his wife Cheryl Nicholson moved their family to Texas in 1981, and started Nicholson Construction Company, a family owned business of more than 28 years.

Dave’s early days in Texas was building new homes but when word got around he started remodeling along with new additions. His business expanded to commercial and consisted of doing remodels for schools,churches and Doctor/Dentist office build outs. During the 1990’s his business flourished as he took on projects working with companies such as Best Buys, Barnes & Nobel Book Stores, Just for Feet , Randalls , Children’s Museum and The Museum of Fine Arts-Houston. Most of their work was centered around Houston and surrounding area.

In 1996 Dave and Cheryl bought property in Fulshear and built their custom home. This was at a time his three young boys weren’t so young anymore and joined the team.

Cheryl has been involved in the office and Bookkeeping A/R & A/P and the everyday running of their company. Jeff Nicholson his middle son has been involved in the business more than 16 years while working with his Dad and going to school. He currently works and manages projects down at the Museum of Fine Arts - Houston and residential projects. David Jr. the oldest was certified by the State Of Texas in Nursery while being employed by Cornelius Nursery. He came aboard 7 years ago and has helped supervised projects while helping Jeff in the construction of residential and commercial portions. Randy, the youngest came aboard in 2008 after moving back from Austin after graduating college with an Associates Degree in Visual Communication Design. He set up the companies computer system and designed our logo, letterhead and business cards.
